MATERIALS AND TECHNIQUE
The ceramic sculptures are one-of-a-kind abstract works and small pieces, all handbuilt used various techniques such as slab and pinch construction, neriage, and sometimes adding paper and other materials. Materials include stoneware and porcelain claybodies of varied colors sometimes also colored with oxides or pigments. Fired at 1260 ° C (2300 ° F) cone 8, in an oxidizing or reducing atmosphere. Textures and colors are inspired by geological and organic forms and surfaces. Without imitating any naturally occurring form, the work participates to natural processes such as the creation of the material, its organization and growth, and subsequent erosion.
